How to Choose the Correct Length of Dock Steps
Adding stairs to your dock or swimming pool area is one of the smartest ways to make the space safer for you, your loved ones, and your guests. These dock steps and swim ladders don’t just allow you to easily get into the water, but also helps you quickly get out of it if there is an issue. The key to getting the most from your dock steps is to make sure that it is the right length to fit your specific location and needs. There is typically 12” between most steps, which means--for example--if you are standing on the last step of a 3-step ladder, you are going to be 3 feet below the mounting surface. The more steps you have, obviously, the easier it will be for you to step out of the water. So how do you choose the right amount of steps?
